In 1914 Boy Scout Troop #1 was chartered at the Halethorpe Methodist Episcopal Church. The Troop became inactive during World War I, but resumed soon afterward. In 1928, the Troop was renumbered to Troop #305. A short lapse occurred when Troop #305 moved to the Church of the Holy Apostle on Arbutus Avenue in 1949. In 1954, Halethorpe Methodist Church chartered a new Troop #764. Two years later, a Cub Scout Pack was formed to serve the younger boys of the community and help grow a new Troop.
Troop & Pack #764 have continued uninterrupted ever since. The many volunteer leaders throughout the years have strived to present a program that will turn young boys into self-reliant young men and leaders.
